Zurvive Zombie Game – 2d Top Down Shooter – FREE DOWNLOAD – Android and Desktops (Java)
ZURVIVE is a fast paced, 2d top down shooter arcade style game programmed in java that runs on any java platform including desktop computers and smart phones and tablets such as those that run on android O/S.
The aim of the game is for the player to survive for as long as they can among a continuous flow of zombie hordes. The game is centred in a game area in which enemies (zombies) spawn in the map at timed intervals which the player must defend against.
I chose to develop the game as at the time I was quite invested in playing fast paced shooters and became enthusiastic about developing one myself. I also felt that there wasn’t quite a game like this that already existed and which also would run on many platforms such as PC’s and smartphone’s as well as tablets.
Zurvive is specifically aimed at teens who enjoy the thrill of fast paced arcade style game play.

Youtube Game Tutorial
In the future I plan to add more content such as maps, weapons, enemies, sound effects and atmospheric background music to the game as well as implement better mobile support controls.
My ultimate objective is to publish the game onto the android app’s market, probably seeking to monetize the game through advertising which will entail further research. I will also look at how to implement client server solutions so that the game can run on the server and be served through a browser rather than downloaded to the client device.

The Big Bang Explained by Anika of Dobcroft Infants School
This is the first of my science videos, Today I am going to talk about how the Universe began with the Big Bang.
Up until about 100 years ago everyone thought that the universe was fixed and unchanging.
Then along came Mr Edwin Hubble who’s observations using the Mount Wilson telescope discovered that there were lots of galaxies beyond our own and that they were all moving away from one another as revealed by the Red Shift Doppler effect i.e. that the universe is expanding which means that it had a beginning
- The BIG BANG!
Scientists estimate the big bang was 14 billion years ago when the universe exploded into existence and started its expansion.
Now the Big Bang is not like an explosion you would imagine it, because it is not matter that is exploding but that it is the Space that is expanding.
It is like we are on the surface of a balloon that is expanding, so the other galaxies are moving away from us, and the further away an object is the greater is its speed as the more the universe expands the larger the balloon becomes so the greater the rate of expansion.
So again it is SPACE that is expanding.
Which also means that one day the universe will die, probably a trillion years from now the space will have expanded by so much that all of the galaxies and stars will have expanded away and eventually even the space between individual atoms will expand so that there will be nothing.

Max Bench Press – How to Increase – Silverdale Sheffield
Here me (Adnaan 13), my brother Sami (9) and Dad (ancient) bench press to our maximums on the powertec ’safe’ home gym system after just 10 months training at 2X 1hr progressive workouts per week where virtually every set has seen either a rep or weight increase.
Bench Press Tip 1
Plant your feet firmly on the ground to utilise your leg muscles to help press the weight.
Little Sami goes first his goal is to bench press 40kg.
Bench Press Tip 2
Breath deeply and hold / exhale slowly as you press.
Adnaan starts his run towards a target of 110kg
Bench Press Tip 3
Take your time and press the weight slowly.
Now its Fat Daddy’s turn, having busted through 150kg, how far can my Dad keep pressing ?

Sheffield Top 14 Best Ranked Secondary Schools for Place Applications 2015
Parents of approx 6000 Sheffield students will be counting down to the deadline for making a secondary school application for the academic year starting September 2015, where the deadline for online applications is 22nd October 2014 and 31st October for paper applications with supporting information to be supplied by no later than 26th November. Whilst students who fail to make an application will be allocated a school place by the Admissions team which will NOT necessarily be at the students catchment area school.
Whilst most parents / students look at the most recent Sheffield school league table in selecting their best schools of choice, however these can from time to time prove highly misleading as many of Sheffield’s 26 Secondary schools for whatever reason can exhibit volatility in performance from year to year therefore a currently high ranking school may not mean that the same level of performance will continue in subsequent years as it may have been subject to special intervention and circumstances, therefore a much better methodology in the rating of schools would be evaluate schools in terms of trend in performance.
The following graph represents Sheffield’s Top 14 Secondary schools out of a total of 26 rated in terms of consistency in attaining high rankings in the school league tables from 2001 to 2014.
As expected the the top two rates schools are Independent schools, whilst Silverdale ranks as Sheffield’s best Secondary school in terms of consistency, closely followed by Tapton Academy in 4th place.
How to Get a Place at Silverdale School
1. The honest way is to own / rent or buy a house in time for the deadline for submitting supporting information.
2. Make the application for a school place on time, you can hand deliver, by post or do it online.
3. Send proof of the new address i.e. a solicitors letter before the deadline.
Fraudulent School Applications On the Rise
An increasing number of parents are choosing to pursue a dishonest approach by lying about where the student normally resides which results in the defrauding a student who is entitled to that place at Silverdale School or any other ‘good’ school.
Serious flaws in the management of the school applications process means that many fraudulent applications do succeed each year as representing a failure of the schools admissions team to do their job properly in identifying fraudsters. That and there being little consequences for having committed fraud as if the fraud is not identified before the start of the academic year then the parent / student has effectively succeeded in stealing a school place from those that are entitled to a place at schools such as Silverdale where the situation is even worse for primary schools where far fewer places coupled with high demand such as for Dobcroft Infants School results in much disruption for Sheffield’s honest families as siblings FAIL to get places at catchment schools.

Oculus VR Headset Review by Anika at Insomnia Games Conference
This is my (Anika) review of using the Oculus rift virtual reality headset at the Insomnia Games conference (youtube video)
It was quite exciting to see the snow falling around me in 3d
I was moving around and you could even look down and there were things there, I saw the mine craft things.
It was awesome, you saw lots of good things, like a mine craft robot and they tried to get me but they could not get me.
I liked it a lot cos I could imagine that it was real.
I absolutely do want one for my birthday because it is so awesome, I love it!

NHS Jessops Hospital Sheffield – My new baby sister is born!
The long wait is over the walayat families newest baby is born at Sheffield Jessops Hospital.
It’s a baby girl! Sofia the 1st!
The race is on for me, and my Sami and sister Anika to be first to see our new born sister.
Nearly there, though I let the younger two take the lead.

Rotherham Clifton Park Reveiw
Clifton park is a huge park. there is a sand section where you can play in a big sandpit . in the sand pit there are diggers ,slides and sand transports. the sand area is free and really beach like.
there is a small fantastic amusment park there. The amusement park has lots of rides such as rollercoasters, bumper cars and boats. In adittion to is an arcade with slot machines. There are 7 rides and 8 if you include the arcade. There is also a minigolf, where you can play minigolf in 18 holes.In the amusement park you go on ride using small tokens, each token is worth about 50p.
There is an odinary park with swings, slides and rounder bouts. But there is a huge enormous slide, you have to go on it or your missing a lot of fun. Aswell as a normal park there is also a free small water with fountains and other things.There are a wheel shaped swing there as well as rectangular shaped swings.
If you have a walk around you will there is a peaceful garden with water a fountain, surrounded by beautiful flowers. if you keeping walking you will get to a small water fall , there is a tiny bridge too. If you walk mor you will find a tennis and baket ball court; there is a huge feild to play football and other activities.
